THE OLESEN MUSIC AWARD

See this year's award recipient

The Olesen Music Award was established by the Erik & Susanna Olesen Foundation in collaboration with Mogens Dahl Concert Hall. Its purpose is to support the development of exceptional talent at the highest level of classical music and to help nurture the international stars of tomorrow.

Awarded for the first time in 2027, the prize is presented to young Danish or Nordic soloists or chamber ensembles who have already distinguished themselves through outstanding artistic achievements and are on the threshold of an international breakthrough.

Cellist Jonathan Swensen has been selected as the inaugural recipient of The Olesen Music Award, which will be presented at an award concert on 25 April 2027 at Mogens Dahl Concert Hall.
